Student App
Dashboard, streaks and collection
The home surface: a 7-day streak cycle, XP and level curve, gacha keys and the equipped character, with entry points into the lootbox, Quiz Wars and voice study.
Progression is the retention layer — 48 collectible characters across six rarity tiers, redeem codes, feature flags with beta cohorts, and a cosmetic marketplace, all driven off the same XP events the study features emit.

AI Study Sessions
Voice tutor and comprehension scoring
A session bundles an AI tutor chat, generated notes and uploaded sources — PDF, YouTube, web or pasted text — beside a live voice room running on LiveKit with a Python agent.
Speech practice applies the Feynman technique: explain an uploaded PDF out loud and get scored on the explanation. That score is the app’s comprehension meter.

Quiz Wars & Flashcards
Real-time multiplayer quizzes
Live quiz rooms over Socket.io: public lobbies with join codes, a heart-based elimination system, per-question timers and final rankings.
Flashcard sets are private or shareable publicly by token, with per-set view counts and a study mode that randomises the deck and takes keyboard shortcuts.

Admin & API
Operations console and documented API
A separate Next.js console for operations: user management with per-account API quota tracking, universities, transactions, redemption codes and API key rotation.
The NestJS API ships OpenAPI docs covering the XP system, quizzes, study sessions, flashcards and the Discord integration. Auth is Passport + JWT behind NextAuth — credentials, Google and Discord — with route-level middleware guarding every private path.
